The clock is ticking and we have one month until Valentines Day. This is your opportunity to get it together people! There is still plenty of time. You could shrug it off as the “corporate holiday card” day and not participate in sharing flowers and chocolate, OR you could get over it and do something thoughtful for the ones you love.

So lucky for you Enopians, here are some outdoorsy Valentines ideas that are totally doable; and you have an entire month to get it together. And singles, I don’t want to hear it–Valentines Day is a perfectly good time to do something nice for your besties.

Full Moon Group Date

Alright, as a group activity, this one goes out to all the strong and single people in the house. Heads up, Valentines Day is on a full moon this year! So pick your favorite hiking trail, keep in mind to choose one with a good view of the sky. Pack up a picnic basket or backpack full of delicious snacks, maybe a bottle of wine. And of course, your ENO hammock and straps. Some Twilights would also add a lovely ambiance to your full moon group date too. So get creative, snuggle up with your crew, and watch the moon go across the sky. Don’t forget your head lamp people.

Romantic Car Camping

Skip the crowded restaurants this year and consider taking your significant other car camping–romantic style. Have a private candle lit dinner and watch the full moon from the comfort of your ENO hammock. Consider staying extra warm with our Ignitor top quilt, to maximize your star gazing time. Here’s what you need to get started with this idea:

  • -Fold up table or picnic blanket; packs down for easy storage in the car.
  • -Table cloth & place mats; just do it, this is a special day.
  • -Candle; If you live somewhere with a high fire danger, opt for a battery powered one.
  • -Cloth napkin and silverware.
  • -Storage bin; so you can keep all this together and organized.

Backyard Theater

This idea could apply to groups or couples. And has great potential to be the perfect fun, yet sophisticated backyard activity. Rent a screen and projector from your local library (remember, you have time to do that) and set it up in your backyard. Tell everyone to bring their ENO hammock and straps and hang them up in the yard. Order pizza, make a fancy dinner, or go potluck style. What’s great about this idea is that you can dress it up or down depending on your tastes. Don’t forget popcorn though.
