There are times that I love to hammock by myself to get away and clear my mind, think and dream. What I enjoy the most about hammocking though is the community that it builds.  Hammocking with friends is a great way to spend a morning, afternoon or evening together.

A few items to include on your day trip when you go out with your friends are:

A Frisbee

Even if you don’t want to play ultimate Frisbee while you are out, just tossing and catching the frisbee can create an environment where everyone is involved and gets you moving either before or after you have been laying in your hammock.

Need to slow down and write? This Moleskine is an easy addition to your bag so that you can pen down your thoughts or use it as a sketchpad.

Throw Blanket

Sometimes if there is a slight breeze, this blanket adds a great layer to the hammock to take the edge off the cold. Try to find a blanket that packs down so that it doesn’t take up too much room in your car or bag.

ENO offers a variety of hammocks perfect for spending the day with friends such as:

The Single Nest Hammock

is priced at $59.95 and is great for one person to enjoy a great hammocking experience.

The Double Nest Hammock

is priced at $69.95 works great to go hammocking with a buddy or spouse! It provides space for two comfortably, but still packs down small so you can toss it in your bag.

The DoubleDeluxe Hammock

is priced at $84.95 and is the most spacious hammock. I recommend the DoubleDeluxe if you frequently hammock with someone or if you want as much room to spread out in your hammock possible.

All of these hammocks set up the same and pack down into the built-in stuff sack. And don’t forget to get your straps!

A day hammocking with friends may be just what you need after a long day at work, crazy day at home or if you just need a little escape.  Happy hammocking to you and your buddies!
