Inspired by the success of the Parkway Adjustable Hammock Stand, we wanted to make a smaller, aluminum, ultra-light hammock stand to transform your ENO hammock into a comfortable hammock chair.
And thus, the ENO Parklite was born. And y’all immediately loved it. So much so, that a video of us showing you different-sized people using it got over 2.5 million views in 48 hours on Instagram.
With a lot of newbies seeing our gear for the first time, we’re here to answer your pressing questions about the newest ENO hammock stand.
What’s the weight limit?
The Parklite’s capacity is 300 pounds. It’s made of premium anodized aluminum, which is incredibly strong and made for all-weather use outdoors. It’s up to you and your personal preference, but if you’re 6’3” or taller, you may be more comfortable in our Parkway Adjustable Hammock Stand.
Does the bottom bar extend so you can lay flat?
No, the Parklite’s base is not adjustable and is intended for you to use your hammock as a chair. We designed it to be as small, lightweight, and affordable as possible. Our hope is that you get even more use of your ENO hammock by giving you a totally new sitting experience. Plus, you can even use it inside, right at home.
The Parkway Adjustable Hammock Stand would be our recommendation if you’re interested in laying flat. It’s made of steel and has a capacity of 400 pounds while weighing 30 pounds. The base adjusts, extending your hammock attachment points from 7 - 8 feet, allowing you to sit or lay flat, no matter your space.
Is it compatible with the DoubleNest and SingleNest Hammocks?
Yes! The ENO Parklite is compatible with all gathered-end hammocks up to 10 feet (carabiners required). This includes best-selling ENO DoubleNest, DoubleNest Prints, SingleNest, and TravelNest Hammocks.
How small does it pack down? Can I take it car camping?
Clocking in at 8 pounds, the ENO Parklite Hammock Chair Stand is the lightest freestanding hammock stand on the market. It packs down into the included custom carry bag with pole sleeves and velcro straps to keep everything in place. The packed dimensions are 30" x 8" x 8", which can easily fit in the trunk of your car for camping. You can take the Parklite Hammock Chair wherever you take your lawn chair.
I need head and neck support… will this be comfortable?
We have a few tips for achieving maximum comfort in your ENO Parklite:
- Make sure your hammock isn’t twisted when you pass it through the cradles on either side. This will provide a more comfortable, relaxed lay of your hammock.
- Hang your hammock loose by clipping into one of the loops towards either end of the stand. This helps give your hammock plenty of slack for you to get comfortable in.
- Pull the hammock apart before sitting in it, and raise the fabric behind your head and neck to support you.
- Experiment with different seating positions and hammock tensions to see what you find most comfortable.
Seems expensive…
And yes, the hammock is sold separately. Our prices reflect our premium materials, thoughtful design, and safe and responsible working conditions for our factory partners.
The difference between the Parklite and other hammock chair stands on the market is that it was responsibly made and will last. It won’t wear down or break after a few uses.
When you invest in quality gear, you won’t have to replace it yearly.
The ENO Parklite is truly a unique creation we hope you love as much as we do. Whether you curl up, straddle, or sit… regularly… you can always sit with us.
