WHAT WILL YOU DO WHEN YOU’RE HERE?
We’re seeking a creative and strategic new member for our evolving and fast-moving Product Team. This critical position will support the development and execution of our product road map to bring innovative and industry-leading products from idea to market. You will also support our manufacturing partners and supply chain in managing and improving existing products, components, materials, and processes. This position works closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams while reporting to Senior Members of the Product Team.
A little more about the day-to-day…
You will work on a small and tight-knit team of Industrial Designers, and you’ll have the opportunity to put your design skills to the test and learn the day-to-day of what makes our business succeed. You will develop products from initial sketch to production and share those products with consumers worldwide. This is an excellent chance to make a large impact on a small team.

Additional tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Learn everything there is to know about the ENO customer.
  • Build out seasonal trend research for new developments.
  • Conceptualize and develop new and innovative soft goods, hard goods, and experiences that align with ENO’s brand strategy.
  • Participate and/or lead brainstorming with cross-functional teams.
  • Validate designs to cross-functional and management teams through user research and prototype testing in real-world scenarios.
  • Communicate daily with factory partners, creating tech packs for sampling and ensuring that design intent is carried out through production.
  • With help from the rest of the Product Team, develop and source fabrics and trims for any given development.
  • Assist in management of ENO’s product line, ensuring new products are launched on time in their prospective seasons, while also ensuring existing products stay up-to-date.
  • Assist in developing print assets for final products such as hangtags, printed instruction, and packaging.
  • Work with the Sales Team to create pitch decks and other assets needed for presentations with retailers.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to build product launch stories and create compelling messaging and visuals for launch campaigns.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows as well as travel overseas as needed.
  • Take on miscellaneous ad hoc projects or other responsibilities as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field of study.
  • 1-5 years of proven commercial success designing and developing innovative and technical consumer products from concept to manufacturing.
  • Advanced ability to conceptualize, refine, and present product concepts and vision through 2D/3D sketching, rendering, model making, and prototyping.
  • Proficient in using 2D and 3D design software platforms including SolidWorks, Rhino, Keyshot, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience with and/or interest in exploring new design tools and software not mentioned here for use in the design process.
  • Experience with sewn products, developing patterns, and generating tech packs including advanced knowledge of fabrics, materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
  • Experience with molded and metal products including knowledge of injection molding, extrusion, materials, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated sensibility to color and print trends.
  • Advanced ability to implement insights derived from user research as well as create compelling story boards, trend research, and color reports to convey point of view.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with high sensitivity to brand identity and development.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with demonstrated ability to articulate design direction effectively and persuasively to a variety of different audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Organic Social Media and Marketing Intern

PAID INTERNSHIP | ASHEVILLE, NC

ENO is seeking a creative and driven Organic Social Media and Marketing Intern. This is a part-time estimated 20 hours per week, 6-month, in-person internship paid hourly. Preference will be given to those who already live in the Asheville area and are in school, or have recently graduated.

In this position, you will play a critical role in telling ENO’s story across various social channels. You will help create, manage, and analyze ENO’s social media. This position is a part of our Marketing team and works closely with our Customer Service and Product teams, while reporting directly to our Content Marketing Manager.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist, with the expectation of leading, ENO’s organic content calendar planning, posting, and management under the supervision and approval of the Content Marketing Manager and Chief Marketing Officer
  •  Create monthly content calendars, including copy and assets, based on key dates, product launches, campaigns, and trends
  •  Engage with followers and other relevant accounts by answering DMs, replying to comments, and sourcing UGC imagery and videos for ENO’s channels
  •  Plan, capture, and edit video and photo content promptly to apply to trends and achieve campaign objectives
  •  Track and report social media engagement and trends to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
  •  Evaluate and design giveaways, lead-gen, and partnership opportunities. Plan and create giveaway assets and materials including copy, visual assets, and prize fulfillment
  •  Manage ENO’s Monthly Photo + Video Contest including but not limited to updating the contest on Woobox and Shopify sites, defining opportunities to increase entries, determining the winner, and prize
    fulfillment
  •  Manage, write, and build blogs into Shopify with corresponding imagery for both outsourced and in-house content. Audit current blogs for alt text, product links, SEO, and value
  • Take on additional marketing rsponsibilities as time
    permits

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Located in or around Asheville, NC
  • Be currently enrolled or recently graduated from a college or university with a certificate, degree, or studying Communications, Marketing/Business, English, Visual Communications, or similar
  • Deep understanding of various social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, Reddit, and Spotify
  • Enjoys discovering new trends and creating educational and relatable content
  • Strong writing skills and a basic or higher understanding of SEO
  • Creative eye for photo and video capture and editing
  • Excellent internet research skills
  • Excels at time management, is self-motivated, and can multi-task
  • Creative thinking, ability to contribute fresh ideas, and strong attention to detail

NICE TO HAVE

  • A passion for the outdoors and previous ENO product experience
  • Knowledge of Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud Applications, and Shopify
  • Experience with social media in-platform analytics
