As members of 1% for the Planet, we are proud to contribute one percent of our annual sales to support nonprofit organizations focused on helping leave the environment in an even better place for future generations.
Through this work, we’ve established our Giving Back Hammock Collection which supports our partners’ efforts in protecting and preserving our environment and public lands, making the outdoors more welcoming for all, and serving and supporting our communities through outdoor education and experiences.
Since our partnership began in 2018, ENO has donated over $1.2M to a variety of environmental and social nonprofits that continually work to protect natural spaces, make the outdoors accessible to all, and preserve cultural traditions across the globe.
Trees for the Future
As a hammock company, we know the importance of trees and so do our customers. Since 2018, ENO has partnered with regenerative agriculture nonprofit, Trees for the Future (TREES), donating a portion of each hammock sold in support of their mission to train farmers in agroforestry and sustainable land use - so that they can grow vibrant regional economies, thriving food systems, and a healthier planet.
Together we've funded over 3.4 million trees, restoring over 700 acres of land, lifting over 6,489 people from poverty and hunger, and capturing over 119,635 metric tons of CO2 over a 20 year period.
Leave No Trace
As outdoor lovers, we believe that leaving it better than we found it means more hammocking, more hiking, and more memories enjoying time outside for us and future generations. That’s why we've proudly partnered with the Leave No Trace Foundation for over a decade, supporting their mission to teach people how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly.
Through this partnership, we’ve helped bring Leave No Trace principles to millions of adventurers, funded educator trainings across the country, provided gear for LNT traveling teams, and supported critical research and initiatives that reduce human impact on wild spaces.
Pacific Crest Trail Association
As champions of time well spent outside, we believe in protecting and promoting places that make recreation possible. That's why we're produd to support the Pacific Crest Trail Association and their work to protect, preserve, and promote the iconic Pacific Crest Trail.
Since 2014, ENO has donated over $392,475 to the PCTA in support of their mission. Our contributions help fund critical trail maintenance, empower stewardship programs, and encourage responsible recreation along the 2,650-mile route. Together, we’re working to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to explore and enjoy the Pacific Crest Trail—now and for generations to come.
