For more than 50 years, Trust for Public Land (TPL) has been working to make sure everyone, in every community, has access to the outdoors, not just as a privilege, but as a fundamental human need.

About Trust for Public Land
TPL started over 50 years ago with a simple belief: everyone deserves access to parks, trails, and natural spaces — especially people living in cities. Back then, nearly 80% of Americans lived in metro areas but had few places to enjoy the outdoors.
What began as small, one-off conservation projects has grown into a nationwide movement. Over time, TPL shifted from creating single parks to taking a community-led, equity-focused approach that makes lasting, scalable change.
Today, TPL works across nearly every state, plus Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, helping communities plan conservation priorities, create parks and schoolyards, build trails, protect important lands and waterways, and boost climate resilience through nature.
Trust for Public Land's Impact
"We move at the speed of trust. Communities tell us their vision, and we help bring it to life.”

Vibrant Earth Giving Back Hammock
Inspired by the beauty of our planet’s most endangered flora and fauna, Vibrant Earth, designed by artist Adam Nienow, captures the vibrancy of nature from land to water to sky. Featuring bold, bright colors, it celebrates our natural world and its inhabitants and reminds us of the importance of protecting them.
