Honored in addition to Black Diamond Equipment and The Forest Group, ENO selected for work with southern conservation group, Wild South

The Conservation Alliance announced ENO has been selected, alongside Black Diamond Equipment and The Forest Group, as the winners of their Outstanding Partnership Award for 2014. ENO was nominated for the honor by fellow ‘Ashevillians,’ Wild South – a conservation group rallying to preserve and protect the legacy of the South.

The award recognizes ENO, creators of packable, travel hammocks and accessories made for nomadic comfort, for going above and beyond in building relationships with Conservation Alliance grantees, such as Wild South. Such efforts include the creation and promotion of ‘Wild South Wednesdays’ on their social media platforms, rallying nationwide support for the area’s wilderness, and helping to secure grants, among others.

Coming hot off the heels of Bobby Jackson’s, ENO’s Vice President of Sales, Wild South Award of Distinction in March, the award rounds out a great Spring season for the hammock company.

“We are honored and grateful for this award,” said Jackson. “We are so lucky to have such an organization just a few blocks up from the ENO offices and it seems like the momentum with this partnership is really cranking. I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish with The Conservation Alliance on our side!”

Ben Colvin, Wild South’s Development Director, was similarly inspired by the award and hopes it will continue to raise awareness for the important work they are doing making lasting protections for the backcountry a reality.

“ENO has become a major leader in the Southeast and we nominated them for this award because their campaigns have drastically raised awareness of our work to protect the last, best places,” he said. “Working with regional outdoor retailers like ENO forms a network through which we make a huge impact on the future of our mission and of the protection of wild places and wild things in the South.”

Beginning Friday, May 16, The Conservation Alliance will profile all nomination’s Outstanding Partnership stories on the Alliance blog. In addition, ENO, Black Diamond Equipment and The Forest Group will be presented their awards at The Conservation Alliance Breakfast during the Summer Outdoor Retailer Show on Thursday, August 7, 2014 in Salt Lake City, UT.
