This accolade comes a few months after ENO relaunched its iconic DoubleNest Hammock in January of 2022 with bluesign® approved fabric, thoughtfully updated features, and a refreshed color palette.
The REI Co-op Editors’ Choice Awards were developed in 2020 by REI's in-house editorial team as a way to honor the top-performing products based on rigorous field tests conducted by REI staff and member-testers, sustainability attributes, and co-op member and customer feedback. The highest-scoring products are featured in Gear Guides found on Expert Advice, and the best of the best receive an REI Co-op Editors’ Choice Award. The reimagined DoubleNest Hammock builds upon the success of its predecessor, maintaining its portability, packability, ease of use, and original features while also incorporating:
- FreeWave® nylon solid-color fabric that is supremely comfortable, breathable, fast-drying, and certified as 100% bluesign® approved
- An exclusive crinkle treatment providing exceptional softness and packability
- An extended 9.5-foot (2.9-meter) hammock body allowing extra room to stretch out, lay flat, and relax
- A bonus internal stash pocket, housed in the stuff sack, to organize essentials
- Specially designed (patent-pending) hammock-specific carabiners that easily attach to all ENO hammock straps or other secure anchor points, and help maintain correct orientation for a safer, easier hang

Weighing the same as its predecessor, the 19-ounce (538-gram) DoubleNest Hammock ($74.95), DoubleNest Print Hammock, and DoubleNest Giving Back Hammocks ($84.95) can support up to 400 pounds.
