Resolutions don’t have to be grand improvements with hard quotas. They can be simple lifestyle changes that slowly over the year improve your well-being. We’re letting go of doing the most, and embracing doing more of what feels good.
1. Relax More
Life can be overwhelming, but carving out time (and a place) to relax is essential for your mental and physical health. Set aside 15–30 minutes daily to unwind— whether it’s reading a book in your indoor hammock, meditating before bed, or taking a bath. Small rituals like this help recharge your mind and body, reducing stress in the long term.
2. Drink More Water
Hydration is an often-overlooked key to feeling your best. Keep a reusable water bottle handy and set some reminders to drink throughout the day. Add a splash of all-natural juices to your water like tart cherry, lemon, or lime if you need to switch it up. Start each day with a full glass of water to set the tone for your day.
3. Get Outside Daily
Fresh air and nature have proven benefits for reducing stress and boosting mood. Take a 10–15 minute walk, eat lunch outdoors, or make your backyard a mini oasis with a super-sized backyard hammock. Even brief moments outside can help reset your mind and foster a sense of calm.
4. Annual Camping Trip (or Two)
Spending a few nights sleeping under the stars can work wonders for your sleep schedule. It helps to reset your circadian rhythm by syncing your body with natural light cycles and can improve the quality and duration of your rest. Grab your camping hammock and catch some Zs.
5. Simplify Your Schedule
Learn to say no, it is easier said than done. Overcommitment can lead to stress and burnout, so practice saying “no” to unnecessary obligations, or ones that don’t bring you joy. Schedule downtime just like you would a meeting. Feel free to include ENO as the required participant in that calendar invite.
